This is a list of reviews of memorable books I have read with insights into what made them so memorable for me.

I started reading rather early. My mom began buying me Dr. Seuss books before I started kindergarten and my older sister liked to play school with my cousins and me and taught us to read and do basic math before we started school. I read a lot of books as a kid but I think I really started remembering books and being influenced by them around age 10 or 11. Some of the more memorable reads since then appear here.
